Museo Alameda Opening Celebrations

San Antonio, TX - April, 13, 14 & 15 2007

 

On April, 13 2007 the Museo Alameda opened its doors in San Antonio, Texas, in affiliation with the Smithsonian Institution, the largest museum complex in the world, with 19 museums, 9 research centers and the National Zoological Park. With this opening, the Museo Alameda becomes the largest Latino art museum in the United States.

 

The opening celebrations took place during three full days of dancing, concerts, exhibits, art performances and the largest Mariachi band playing together at once.

 

This clip was produced as an assignement of the Museo Alameda Smithsonian to have a documentary of this historical days.
